Assertiveness Difficulty asking for what you want or saying "No" while getting along with others? Be more assertive—less passive and less aggressive by exploring issues such as saying "No", setting limits, working with an Assertiveness Model, values clarification, speaking up clearly, how to handle anger and rejection and how to respond to internal and external criticism. Information, interactive role plays and processing with simple art materials are used in a way that reinforces and empowers you to use new skills in different areas of your life. There is an "Assertiveness Toolbox" to take home. Decision-Making
Undecided? Having a hard time making decisions you feel happy with? This workshop explores issues such as decision-making styles, decision-making strategies and follow-through, beliefs that stop you from deciding, creativity, brainstorming, values clarification, risk-taking and "in-between" alternatives to yes/no options that limit you. The goal will be to help you make better decisions with less stress. Information is combined with hands-on decision-making strategies and a "Decision-Making Toolbox" that reinforces new skills and empowers you to more efficiently and easily make decisions. The Art of gender Join us in an exploration of ideas about self, gender, appearance and sexuality. This is an opportunity to examine who you are and who you want to be in the world with your lovers, friends, colleagues and the broader community. In a supportive environment, basic art materials and photos help in examining questions and answers about ourselves, our self-image and our presentation to the world. All forms of gender and sexuality welcome.
